Concentrates

Confused by concentrates? Shatter, live resin, dabs, badder – we got you.

Concentrates are just what it sounds like, a concentrated form of marijuana – cannabis formulations that distill the plant to essential oils containing all the tasty cannabinoids and terpenes you crave. There are many formats, textures, and extraction methods you can choose from, but all start with high-quality flower and capture both the potency and character of the strain or blend that they are made from. Concentrates are odorless when stored and have a longer shelf-life than flower. To enjoy concentrates, smoke them in a dab rig for a potent fast-acting high, add them in edibles and cannabis-infused drinks or season your joint or bowl with small amounts. All the concentrates we stock range from 60% to 70% THC content. Compared with 20-30% for typical flower, the secret is in the name.

Concentrates at a glance

Shatter

With its distinctive glass-like texture and amber color, shatter is incredibly refined with very few impurities.

Badder

Badder is produced when the extracted cannabis oil is whipped (rather than dry into a hardened crystal) until it has the soft consistency of butter and a color reminiscent of fudge. Concentrates with a butter-like consistency like badder can easily be used as a spread on blunts or joints. Of course, they can be dabbed, too. Crumble is a brittle version of budder or badder. As the name suggests, it has a crumbly, honeycomb-like consistency. Not sure what dabbing is? In simple terms, it is a way to inhale your concentrates with a modern glass pipe. Ask one of our budtenders to show you our dab rig options.

Waxes

Waxes have an even softer granular texture and tend to be more aromatic.

Live Resin

Live resin is made by flash freezing cannabis flower directly after harvest (whereas the previous concentrates used dried marijuana flower) and aims to capture the full character of the plant at its freshest.

Dab rigs for cannabis concentrates

If you are looking to invest in a dab rig, the up-front cost is higher, but you will save money over time as concentrates are modestly priced and gram for gram far more potent. There are many formats, textures and extraction methods you can choose from, but all start with high-quality marijuana flower and capture both the potency and character of the strain or blend they use. They are odorless when stored and have a longer shelf-life than flower, and come in various formulations.
